On the night of May 22, the Russians launched a missile strike on Kharkiv. As a result of the attack, a private house was damaged, according to the Telegram channel of Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

"In the Kholodnohirskyi district, as a result of an enemy missile strike, a private house was damaged. Information regarding casualties is being clarified," the message stated at 01:52 Kyiv time.

Terekhov edited the post, noting that, according to preliminary information, one person was injured.

"Eight private houses were damaged. Two people are experiencing acute stress reactions and are receiving medical assistance," Terekhov reported.

Russian attack on Kharkiv

With the beginning of the new day on the night of May 22, air raid alerts began to spread across Ukraine. In particular, the Ukrainian Air Force reported the presence of enemy attack drones in the sky, including over the Kharkiv region.

Later, around 01:30, an explosion was heard in Kharkiv. Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed this information, stating that the city was under attack by enemy drones. However, he later edited the post, removing the mention of drones. His following update referred specifically to a missile strike, as previously mentioned in this report.
